Here Steve Jobs is talking about the idea of “cloud computing”: this “talk” took place back in 1997. In this video he states that he has been privately using this service (that we know as “cloud computing”) for the past 7 years. This means that in 1990 Steve Jobs was basically using an extremely early version of the iCloud. Also if you listen closely you will see that he also appears to be foreseeing the iMac and the Macbook Air here as well. Truly amazing. He saw in 1997 things that are just now being introduced.
He states to the amazement of those in attendance, “Never have I seen something more powerful than this computation combined with this network that we now have…in the last 7 years, do you know how many times I’ve lost any personal data? Zero. Do you know how many times I’ve backed up my computer? Zero.” A true visionary.
